GRADUATE ACCOUNTING CAPABILITY
ASSURANCE & WORK-INTEGRATED LEARNING
SIGNATURE RESEARCH, ASSURANCE AND CURRICULUM-TRANSFORMATION INITIATIVE
Graduate attributes are institutional claims. They become credible only when supported by sufficient, appropriate
evidence of authentic, independently attributable and workplace-transferable student performance.
PROJECT PURPOSE
This initiative examines whether accounting graduate-attribute and professional-capability claims are supported by credible evidence. It connects curriculum mapping, authentic assessment, moderation, individual verification, simulation and workplace transfer within one assurance-based framework.
Status: controlled development. It does not claim institutional implementation, accreditation approval or external endorsement.
TWO-PHASE ARCHITECTURE
Phase 1 — AI-Compatible and Human-Assured Assessment
Examines whether the institution can trust the evidence of individual student learning in the Generative Artificial Intelligence era. It preserves authentic professional tasks while strengthening process evidence, authoritative-source verification, reproducible analysis, professional judgement, secure individual corroboration, moderation and governance.
Phase 2 — Accounting Capability and Work-Integrated Learning Transformation
Examines whether the evidenced learning demonstrates practical, independent, transferable and externally recognisable accounting capability. It connects Graduate Attributes and Program Learning Outcomes with digital accounting systems, simulations, workplace tasks, capability portfolios and appropriate external validation.
CORE ASSURANCE QUESTIONS
• What graduate or professional capability is being claimed?
• What evidence would be sufficient and appropriate for that claim?
• Is the evidence authentic and attributable to the individual student?
• Can the student explain, verify and transfer the capability to a new context?
• Are moderation, accessibility, workload and governance controls proportionate?

PUBLIC VALUE
The project aims to help educators and institutions make credible graduate-capability claims, preserve authentic professional learning in the Generative AI era and improve the connection between curriculum, assessment, quality assurance and employability.
PUBLIC EVIDENCE BOUNDARY
Public materials are limited to high-level frameworks, sanitised examples and approved project summaries. Student information, secure assessment content, assessor-only resources, moderation records and internal approval documents remain restricted.
COLLABORATION
Academic and professional discussion is welcomed in accounting education, curriculum assurance, authentic assessment, Work-Integrated Learning, simulation design and responsible AI-enabled education.
